2009 Inaugural Fast Pace Race Active.com Reviews

Overall great, fun 10K race. Well organized. Excellent post race food, t-shirt, etc.
Maybe next year have more people at the water aid stations and call/show split times at each mile(4,5,6)
Will definitely be back next year.

I liked this race.  Of course, a PR will do that for you, but as a warning to others: "net downhill" DOES NOT mean "no climbs". Yes, you were presented with some fast downhill where it mattered - the start and finish - but in between it was completely rolling, not flat.
The post-race vibe was cool. Lots of good food and nice people everywhere. Next year I might sloth to the start instead of taking the bus.
Good inaugural event

2010 2nd Annual Fast Pace Race Active.com Reviews

Very well put on race - well organized, chip timing, accurate distance - and nice technical t-shirts to boot. Course was very forgiving - considering the area. Definitely will run again. Only negative is the course is very crowded in the second mile - hard to move up in the pack as the 5K'ers are slowing down.

This was a very fun course! Well organized and I appreciated the mile markers along the way. Will attend next year also.

I really enjoyed this race. I had my best 5k time. It's a great event and look forward to doing it next year.

Fantastic Race!! Everything was wonderful - from the course itself to the staff helping. So very organized and fun. Great cause to run for (fighting prostate cancer). GA Urology is a top-notch, world class medical organization. Will definitely run this race next year!

The course was wonderful. I had my best run time ever. The atomosphere was very supportive. The local police and safety departments were outstanding. Even starting the event slightly late wasn't really a factor. The only true downside is that even with my pre-registration there were no T-Shirts availible in my size. I left my contact info, hopefully the issue will be resolved.  I plan on participating next year.

First time running this course... Great Start/Finish...Didn't like the delay of bussing people that were late.
Would like to see gatorade at the finish...Helps replenish what you burn off.
Volunteers were all very helpful and inspiring.  Loved the free testing for seeral areas...

Was my first 10K in about 12 years. Was great. Felt better running this race than my regular 5K's I've been running. Will definitely run this one again next year.

Great race staffed w/spirited volunteers. Course was well marked. Community support in the neighborhood was great to experience. My only negative about this race was the almost 15 minute delay in start. I made sure to arrive in time to catch bus ride to the start. Either othersrunnners planned poorly or more buses are needed? And the cause was the best

This was my first 10K race in about 5 years. I got overweight and sort of gave up running. I wanted to run a Peachtree qualifier this year and found this race on Active. I particularly wanted to run a race at this time of year in Georgia because the weather is generally great and I enjoy running in the cooler weather. The race day weather was perfect!. The event was for the most part really well organized. We were a little late starting - maybe 10 minutes due to a delay in getting runners bused to the start line.

I thought the course was fantastic. Long downhill start and finish and as nice a general layout as any course I have run in the Atlanta area in the last 13 years. I would look forward to running this race again in the future. Great to have Bill Rodgers there and I was pleased to meet him when I accepted my 3rd place age group plaque. Kudos to the event staff for a good job. However because I'm an ancient runner and finished well after many there were no shirts left from this year's race. Has to settle for one of last years. Next time perhaps they can find a way to assure that someone like me who registered around a month and a half early can get the right shirt.

one of the few courses that starts w/ downhill and finish with a 600m downhill as well but with rolling hills in the middle. Great course to set PR. good crowd, and it was great to get medal from bill rodgers

Great race. My first 10k and I am already looking forward to the next one. My wife also ran it, and we both agree that it was well organized and the volunteers were awesome! Great course, tough but some nice downhill stretches. Like other I think the neighborhood was a strange deviation in scenary but other than that great course. 56:42
